Binfield CC Junior Section
The junior section of Binfield CC was reformed in 2001 after a number of years when the club didn’t have organised junior cricket. The years since 2001 have seen a steady growth in the number of children taking part in organised coaching sessions and matches under the guidance of the club’s ECB qualified coaches.
We now have well in excess of 100 children aged between 7 and 15 who are junior members of the club and represent the club in the Berkshire Youth Cricket League at the following age groups Under-9, Under-11, Under-13 and Under-15. Binfield juniors are very well represented in both the various Berkshire age-group squads and also in the Wokingham & Bracknell District age-group squads.
Unlike many clubs, we run indoor coaching courses for all age-groups running during the winter months (typically January to April) and outdoor coaching sessions (weather permitting) from May until the end of August.
The club is starting to reap the benefits of its Junior Section as many former juniors are now playing significant roles within the club’s senior teams.
